The interiors are not as colorful as some
of the other havelis in Rajasthan. They are however, very
elegant. The arches that divide the rooms are beautifully
painted, and antique four posters lend an air of grace and
quaintness to the guestrooms. The central hall, now a dining
area for guests, is worth visiting if only to see the lavish
scale on which the Rajputs of yore built their palaces. Gold
was used in creating the delicate frescoes on the walls, while
crystal chandeliers add a touch of indefinable charm to the
place.
If you plan to stay in the Alsisar Haveli as a guest, be
assured of warmth and traditional Rajasthan hospitality.
Facilities offered include rooms with attached baths, AC,
cable TV, telephone, parking, swimming pool, baby sitter,
and an in-house restaurant.
The Alsisar Haveli is a richly woven tapestry that combines
reels from past and present, providing a glimpse into modern
Rajasthan – a region that has every modern technology
imaginable, but has not shaken off its past, thankfully. |
